The line graphs display the distribution of workers per thousand persons of both sexes in six fields in 1975 and 1995 in the Republic of Freedonia. Overall, the number of women increased significantly in four sectors, including communications and trade, where the quantity of female workers overtook that of men. In addition, in the manufacturing and non-defence public sectors, the numbers remained the same.
Starting with communications, while the quantity of men stayed at 300,000 people in both years, the same figure for women rose sharply from approximately 250,000 employees in 1975 to nearly 600,000 in 1995. Similarly, in trade, in 1975, the number of males and females amounted to about 700,000 and 550,000 individuals, respectively, but in 1995, the quantity of women accounted for nearly 800,000, outnumbering the men by about 100,000 employees. In the field of finance, the quantity of women increased nearly four times from approximately 100,000 in 1975 to just over 400,000 in 1995. In the defence public sector, the number of females increased nearly five times from around 20,000 workers in 1975 to 100,000 in 1995.
Regarding the manufacturing and non-defence public sectors, in the former, the figures for men and women stayed at nearly 650,000 and 300,000 in both years, respectively. The numbers of male and female workers in the latter field amounted to about 650,000 and 850,000.
