Overall, there was an increasing trend in most reasons for moving to the capital city with exception of employment during the period. Particularly, moving for studying witnessed the most dramatic fall in choosing, especially in 2015, while family/friends or adventure did not much over the period.

The number of people prioritizing studying started was over 20.000 when being the second most chosen reason when moving to the capital city in 2000. After which, it experienced a significant fluctuation and reached a peak at nearly 90.000 people at the end of the period. However, it did not surpass on the reason for employment, which is the most reasons affected on the moving of people in the country over 4 years on the survey. At the beginning of the period, the figure for employment was at over 60.000, with a falling trend to under 80.000 by the end of the period.

In 2000, reasons for moving in family/friends and adventure had the same number, at about 10.000 people. Then the figure had a slight rise, with the number for family/friends being double than for adventure at the end of the period.
