Initially, in 1993, US unemployment rate was at its peak at 7% and it gradually declined in the given period, whereas, the number of unemployed Japanese citizens were fewer in 1993. However, their proportion rose steadily and peaked at 5%.
Percentage of unemployed US citizens went through minor fluctuations throughout the given span of time, but also faced a dramatic decline during 1996. On the other hand, initially, only 2.5% in Japan were jobless. Their statistics increased steadily till 1996 to 4.5% and then declined to 4%. After the fall in number of workless man force, the percentage again increased to 5% at the end of the provided period.
To sum up, change in unemployment rates of both the countries were notable. However, the tendency seemed to be equal by march 1999.
