The linear graph depicts the proportion of exclusive wastage through three distinctive methods in a particular nation from two decades – from 2000 to 2020.
Considering from an overall perspective, it can be comprehensively observed that the recycling method was consistently inclined, however, the landfill process gradually declined. Notably, the incineration process increased in the first decade, whereas in the second decade it remained stable.
To commence with, in the year 2000, the highest proportion was observed in landfill with 70%, whilst the least proportion was noticed in the recycling process with 10%. There was a double proportion noted in the incineration process(20%) compared to the recycling process(10%). There was a five percentage difference observed between incineration and recycling methods, which were 25% and 20%, respectively.
In the year 2010, processes like recycling and incineration had the equal proportion with 30%, whereas only 10% more proportion noted in the landfill process(40%). The method recycling was surpassed the other method and reached to it maximum proportion with 50% in 2020. The incineration method stabilised their waste in last 10 years with 30%, however the landfill process was continuously decreased in 2015 and 2020, former had 30% and latter had 20%.
