Overall, the number of armed robberies decreased considerably over the timeframe, whist the number of assaults showed an increase trend by 2012; In contrast the murder crimes remained relatively stable over the period.
Armed robberies crimes were the dominant crime in 2003 with a value just below 3500, followed by a slight increase to just over 3500 in 2004, subsequently followed by a dramatic decline with a value just over 1000 cases in 2008, then a slight increase to around 1500 crimes in 2009, after that the number of armed robberies remained stable for the following three years.
The number of assaults started off with just under 2500 in 2003, then fluctuated slightly between 2000 and 2500 crimes from 2004 to 2008; however, there was a growth to 2300 approximately in 2009, then continued upward for the following years. the number of murders began with around 500 crimes in 2003, then witnessed a rise to its peak in 2005 with a value just below 1000, then declined back again to around 500 crimes by 2006. From 2006 to 2012 the number of assaults remained relatively with no change as the beginning with approximately 500 crimes.
