Overall, websites accounted for the highest source during all periods. both TV and print experienced a fluctuation, meanwhile social media rose during the period.
In 2012, websites represented the most used source for american with about 79%, followed by TV with approximately 75%. The percentage of people who accessd news through prints acoounted for about 40%; meanwhile, social media made up the smallest share with only 20%. By 2013, both websites and TV experienced a slight increase, reaching 80% and 78% respectively. Similairly to social media, accounting for nearly 29%. Whereas, Americans who took prints as a source increased sharply, reaching 50%.
By 2014, the share of people using website as a source to accsess new countinued growing, raching about 81%. Similairly to Americans who used social media, raching 30%. In contrast ,both TV and print experienced a decline, reaching 71% and 30% respectively. In 2015, people used websites increased closing the perido with the highest share at 84%. Meanwhile, both TV and print fall to 71% and 22% approximately. Americans who used social media as a source of news grow, reaching 40%.
