Overall, British Museum was the most visited museum throughout the given time period. However, Science Museum remained the least popular. Meanwhile, the Natural History Museum attracted a moderate level of interest from visitors.
In the year 2000, approximately 28 per cent of tourists had visited the British Museum which makes it the major public attraction of that time. Overtime, the popularity of this museum had considerably increased. By the year 2012, the attraction of museum had reached to the highest level of it’s overall time period as it pulled a substantial number of travellers of around 45 per cent from total visitors. In addition, the spark of museum among tourists slowly declined and reached to 30 per cent by the year 2020.
On the contrary, the percentage of sightseers of Natural History Museum and Science Museum oscillated throughout the given time period. In 2000, approximately 20 per cent of tourists were attracted by the Natural History Museum whereas, 19 per cent were interested in the Science Museum. The Museum of Natural History attracted the highest number of its tourists in 2013 with 25 per cent of overall visitors. Furthermore, in 2010, the museum of science achieved its greatest number of tourist with 20 per cent. By the year 2020, there was no such significant difference in the proportion of visitors as it was differentiated by around 4 percent only.
