The line graph compares the proportion of individuals using the internet in four different countries between 2005 and 2025.
Overall, it is clear that all four countries experienced an upward trend throughout. In addition, while the figure for country A and country B maintained the highest levels, countries C and D witnessed the most dramatic growth, significantly narrowing the gap.
In 2005, the figure for people with internet access in Country A stood at roughly 20%, closely followed by Country B at about 15%, whereas the percentage of countries C and D were considerably lower at around 10% and 5%, respectively. By 2010, country A’s percentage had doubled from 20% to 40%, while country B experienced more substantial growth than Country A, rising to approximately 35%. Although the percentage of Countries C and D was lower, they both increased by 15% and stood at roughly 25% and 20%, respectively. By the end of 2015, more than half of the countries A’s and B’s population used the Internet, at about 65% and 60%, respectively. By contrast, Countries C and D recorded lower figures at 45% and 40%, respectively.
Between 2020 and 2025, growth continued, although at a slower pace in two leading countries. By the end of the period, the figure for the two leading countries surged by 12% and recorded 92% and 90%, respectively. Although the proportion of Countries C and D was lower than countries A and B by the end of 2025, they both experienced a significant increase to 88% and 85%, respectively. While Countries A and B maintained their leadership, the gap between the four countries narrowed.
