The line graph illustrates the amount of poutine and French fries consumed in Canada from 1990 to 2010.
Overall, it is clear that both of the meals’ consumption levels had an upward trend, however poutine rate had more rapid growth. However, at the beginning, French fries were more comsumed than poutin, but by the end of the period they switched places.
As can be seen, poutine consumption level started from the point of approximately 80 grams per week per person; by 2000 the rate had slightly increased and after that point it dramatically rose and by the end of the period it reached the consumption level of 350 grams.
Similarly to poutine consumption level, French fries figure had increasing trend. The rate took its start at nearly 110 grams; during the next 10 years it grew up to the point of 140 grams per week per person. By 2010 it went up to 250 grams, making French fries less consumed than poutine.
