Looking at the figure, the price of oil showed the lowest, at around 5 per barrel in 1973, this amount increased gradually at 40 per barrel in 1980. This prices declined steadily approximately 20 per barrel in from 1980 to 1986. The prices of oil fluctuated moderately, generally remaining between 15 and 25 per barrel from 1985 to 2000. After 2000, the prices slightly increased, at around 60 per barrel, followed by this prices a peak of roughly at around 140 per barrel in 2008. The prices fell significantly, dropping to at around 50 per barrel by January 2009.
