Overall, it can be seen that all types of compared technology experienced an overall increase. CD player dominated over the period while telephone overtook others and became the second highest figure.
Looking at the details, households with CD player stood out among other sectors with 60% at the beginning of the period, before increasing steadily to 80% by 2001. Notably, computer was the second highest figure in 1997 and it increased moderately to 70% over the given period.
In terms of telephone, it was one of the least common technology with 20% in 1997. It increased steadily to 30% in 1999, before rising significantly to around 75% in 2001 and eventually surpassed other 3 sectors. Internet ownership was the lowest figure at the beginning of the period, before increasing steadily 20% in 1999. It then jumped to 60% at the end of the period. DVD player on the other hand, declined slightly to around 15% in 1998, unlike other sectors. Subsequently, it increased steadily to 50% until the year of 2001.
