The line graph illutrates the percentage of journeys made using four different types of transportation (car, bus, rail, and others) in a particular country from 1985 to 2015.
Overall, it is clearlly seen that the quantity of car travel increased significantly over the period, becoming the most dominant mode of transport, While bus travel saw a downward trend. Besides, the figure for moving by car was highest.
In the first year, bus travel accounted for the highest proportion of journeys, with 55%, but the figure decreased steadily over the years, to about 10% by 2015. In constast, the percentage of car started at approximately 20% rose considerably to 80% in 2005 before declining minimally to 70% by 2015.
Rail and others forms of transport began at much lower percentages. There was a slight decrease from 20% to 10% in the quantity of rail, before witnessed a marginal rose to 20% by2005 and 2015. Besides, other transport types remain unchanged at the period with slight rise and fall, but never exceeding 10%.
