Overall, the data indicate a significant increase in the number of France and Spain over the period, whereas Japan experienced a gradual decline, following a completely different trend from the other two countries.
Now, turning to the detail, the line graph gives data about overseas tourists. In 1990, France represent about 45 million foreign tourist, the most popular among three nations. The indicator rose increase steadily to approximately 75 million by 2015 and reached a peak around 82 million in 2020. Spain started with 30 million visitors and after it rose sharply to 45 in 2005, moreover reaching 75 million in 2020.
By contrast, Japan was the less popular country among three countries. The country welcomed around 40 million touirists in 1990 and represented a slight upward to 43 million by 2000. However, the amount of visitors began to decline, falling to around 34 million by 2000.
