Overall, while the proportion of coach and rail users had a steady growth, the other three transport type figures experienced a enormous fall.

In 1989, around 10% of tourists travelled by coach, compared to about 5 % by ferry. The proportion of tourists who used a coach and a ferry rose gradually over the next two decades, reaching just over 25% and 10 %, respectively. Moreover, within a range 50% to 60% a significant jumping, later the proportion of cars declined quickly and accounted for 50%, the same figure as at the beginning.
