In 2000, the portion of the USA’s total garment exports witnessed stability around 12%, whereas the European Union and Asia excluding China started to decrease slowly. Between 2000 and 2002, Asia’s exportation of fashion had dramatically declined from 30% to 18%, while other nations maintained their trends. Over the next two years, the major clothes market in the USA slightly dropped about 4%, from 12% to 8%.
From 2008 to 2012, the European Union’s clothing exports continued to decrease slowly as China’s clothing sales overseas climbed. Additionally, Asia’s exports of clothing slowly went up after its significant change. In 2014, Chinese apparel exports peaked at 36%. Nevertheless, the USA hit a low of 6% in exporting clothes.
