In the line, the category visits abroad by UK residents accounted for about 12 million at the beginning of the period, and then this figure increased gradually to 20 million between 1984 and 1989, and then it grow significantly to the peak, at 52 million at the end of the period. Meanwhile, the figure of visits to the UK by overseas residents amounted to 10 million in 1979, and this figure increased gradually to around 28 millions in 1999.
In the bar, turkey accounted for the lowest UK visitors, at around 3 million visitors, and followed by Greece, which made up 4 million visitors. The USA accounted for around 4 million visitors, and then France and Spain accounted for 11 million visitors and 9 million visitors, respectively.
