The given plans show the changes that have taken place in a village called Ryemouth since 1995. Overall, the village used to be quite rural, but currently, it has become more modern with new accommodation and recreational facilities.
According to the first map, the village was bordered with sea in the south and there was a fishing port. Along the shore, there was a road with a fish market between the sea and the road on one side and shops on the other. On the eastern end of the road, there was a junction with another road that led to the northwest and a hotel in the corner and a café opposite to it. In the northeast, a farmland was located with a forest park below that. At the end of the road leading to the northwest, there were houses on both sides.
Turning to the second map we can see that significant changes have occurred in the village. The most notable one has been the replacement of the farmland and the forest park with a golf course and tennis court in turn. The fishing port in the south has been removed and the fish market has been replaced by apartments. Interestingly, the shop on the other side of the road have been turned into restaurants. The hotel has not changed, but a new car park has been built to the right of it. The houses in northwest have not changed much.
