The two maps show how the Ryemouth village developed between 1995 and today. We can effortlessly see that the village made many changes during this period, including recreational and residential infrastructure.
Housing was concentrated in a relatively area near the northwest of the village, along a single row of buildings in 1995. However, in the present day, housing has expanded slightly to include additional units. One significant change to the current design is the inclusion of a parking lot, which is now situated close to the hotel. The road network has undergone some growth in terms of infrastructure. The new road was opened right in front of Housing.
In 1995, the fish market was located next to the sea and opposite the shop. However, in the present map, it has been replaced by a block of apartments. The shop, which was located near the coastline, has also been removed to make way for a restaurant. These changes show a shift from having shop and a market to adding more accommodations and places for leisure activities, like restaurants and apartments.
Regarding the map, the village’s fishing port onhas been demolished. Additionally, the farmland in the upper right corner was replaced by a golf course and connected to the tennis area that was originally a forest park in 1995.
Overall, it is evident that the village has undergone a number of transformations.
