Both of these maps show the developments that happen in Stokeford from 1930 to 2010.
The most obvious would be the increasing number of houses in Stokeford. We could see in 2010, the city has 5 times more housing compared to 1930. This phenomenon could happen because the shops, farmland, and half of the garden space were replaced by houses.
Meanwhile, the other half of the garden where the large house located, were renovated into a big retirement home. It is nice to see that they kept some of the trees too. Other than that, the primary school was also modernize, which make it bigger than before. Besides the changes, there are things that still remain the same such as the bridges that goes between River Stroke. The post office is also still operating at the same place as it was.
In conclusion, Stokeford city plan has added more houses in the last 80 years. However, the city main road and layout is still the same.
