The pictures depict the changes taking place in Shipsmouth from 1995 to 2010.
Overall, Shipsmouth witnessed the rise of housing and the advent of recreational facilities, highlighting its evolution into a more residential and modern hub.
One interesting change is that in the top left-hand corner, the trees were chopped down to make way for the apartment blocks. Likewise, there used to be a green area in the bottom right-hand corner ; however, it was demolished to give way to the airport. To the southeast of apartment blocks lay a shopping centre, which was converted from a factory. Another interesting modification is that the football stadium was also erected in the southern section, providing a new recreation facility for the residents. Meanwhile, the northern area of Shipsmouth witnessed the construction of a new station, located directly opposite the existing one.
Looking at the city centre, the transport infrastructure was also redeveloped into a walking path for pedestrians only. The former church located at the northeast corner was also transformed into a pub. Finally, to the east of the village, the residential area was replaced by skyscrapers, allowing the area to accommodate a larger number of residents.
