The map given below shows the pkan fro recconstruction of the second floor of Mason’s house. It highlights all the major changes that are being made to the place.
As soon as you walk up the stairs to the second floor, you would observe that the landing area has been opened up in contrast to the old plan. The bedroom to the right of the landing has now been converted to a studio storage area. One might also notice that instead of having separate living and dining areas, the entire space has been modified to resemble a studio apartment. It embraces a more modern and open floor layout.
To the left of the previous dining space, you used to have a second bedroom which is not a guest bedroom to accomodate any house guests. The bathroom space would remain exactly where it was. Going further in, you can notice that the former kitchen area has been reassigned to be the master bedroom since it is quite spacious. A door from the new master bedroom leads to the laundry room which used to be a tertiary bedroom.
In summary, the new floor plan has essentially reduced the number of bedrooms on the floor, removed the kitchen from the 2nd floor and prioritized on including more utilities such as laundry and storage in this open space.
