The presented maps illustrate the layout of an Australian Beachfront area in 1950 compared to its current development.
Overall, the place has undergone some several significant changes during the period shown, with the most notable being the expansion of the former road and the introduction of some new facilities.
As can be observed from the two maps, the road, which previously terminated at a car park, has been now lengthened surrounding its campus from north to south. The western playground has been removed to make way for a new car park, whereas the domain of dining tables and the Pavilion, which was prominently located in the heart along the side of the road, has remained untouched to the present.
In terms of new amenities, we can see that the addition of a new restaurant and surfing club in place of the formerly vacant area in the southwestern side of the layout. Moreover, a swimming pool has been expanded by two times to 50 meters as opposed to a previous 25-meter pool. On the other side, another surfing club has been established between the unaltered 25-meter pool and a lighthouse.
