The diagrams give an illustration of how a beachfront in Australia has transformed after some developments from 1950 to present

Overall, it is evident that the entire waterfront area has witnessed radical changes, with the most noticeable being the addition of some new facilities and the expansion of a roadway.

To commence with, there was a roadway leading to the car park on the top of the area in 2005. However, the access road now has been extended clockwise direction to a lighthouse which is located nearby the beach. Parallel to the road in 1950, there was a playground, an area for dining tables and a pavilion next to each other which has been largely unchanged in the present day except the demolition of the playground to make way for a new car park.

Looking at the maps in more details, there were two 25m swimming pools located symmetrically along the coast. While the pool and the lighthouse on the right-hand corner of the area has remained unchanged, the pool on the left has been expanded to 50m, and to the left of it a restaurant has been constructed. Moreover, there has been the erection of two surf clubs, one just near each pool.
