The maps depict the changes in a library between 2000 and the present day.
Overall, the library’s layout has undergone substantial changes, particularly noticeable on the left-hand side. Numerous areas have been relocated and redesigned, with additional facilities introduced.
In 2000, the fiction section occupied the northwest wall and half of the opposite side, while the central area predominantly housed sections for cooking, hobbies, and art, respectively. In the current layout, the large fiction bookcase on the left has been partially replaced by these three genres and now only occupies a small area adjacent to the cookery section. A spacious table and chairs now fill the space previously occupied by rows of books.
In the northeast, the non-fiction area, once located in the right corner, has taken over the space formerly allocated to fiction in the upper left corner. Meanwhile, the previous section reserved for non-fiction books, which sat near the right side of the room from the entrance, has been converted into a cafe. The arrangement for the service desks, travel books, and new books has remained unchanged over the years.
