The maps illustrate how Huntingdon will change in the future.
Overall, Huntingdon will experience significant changes. The most noticeable changes will be the development of traffic infrastructures.
At the present time, the town center is encircled by the ring road, which separates it from a built-up area. In addition, this built-up area includes homes, shops, and other facilities outside the town center. Besides, the ring road and A1 are connected by Brampton Road which runs in the east-west direction. Additionally, A1 stretches from the north to the south, is located to the west of Huntingdon, and is linked to A14 by a roundabout. Furthermore, an airfield is accessed by a small road, leading from the north of A1. Moreover, there is a railway line to the west of the ring road, running from the south, through the built-up area, and out in the northeast. Its railway station is now to the south of Brampton Road.
After a development, the town center, the ring road, the railway station, and the built-up area will stay the same. Regarding the traffic system, a new roundabout will be constructed at the junction of Brampton Road and A14 Road. Besides, the northeast of A14 will be rerouted to link both the ring road and A1 road. The previous airfield will be replaced with an industrial zone. There will be two short railway lines connecting with this place, situated in the northern part of the main railway line.
