The given maps show the center of a small town namely Islip. The first map is the city center at this time and the second map illustrates the proposed development in this area. Overall, the transportation infrastructure will be improved, while the countryside of the town totally will disappear
As can be seen, there is a plan to construct a duel carriageway around the center of Islip in a circular shape. In order to build this highway, the countryside will demolish and the park where is located in the southeast will get smaller. Near the park on the left side there will build some new houses. The main road where is in the central part will replaced to the pedestrian path.
The northern shaps and country side will be converted to four different places Some new houses will construct in the eastern part, besides the new housing, on the left side, the car park is planned to build. A bus station will be located in the western part to improve transportation and a big shopping center will be placed between bus station and car park which means it is easy to access to the shoppine center by public transportation and private cars.
