The maps illustrate numerous variations taking place in the art gallery’s ground floor between 2005 and the present day. Generally, it is clearly seen from the pictures that the art gallery has been modified considerably. Significantly, the convenience of the art gallery has been upgraded by constructing an elevator on the right side of the staircases.
Looking in more detail, it is clearly seen that the art gallery was organized in a more simplistic layout in 2005. For instance, after entering the gallery, in the middle of the hall, closer to the stairs, there was a round receptionist’s table. Coming back to the entrance, on the right side, three rooms for exhibitions were situated in a row. On the left side of the entrance, the fourth, the hugest exhibition room, was located. Following this, next to the fourth exhibition room, there was a room designated as the gallery office. Furthermore, in the left corner at the top of the map, the café was located. Between the café and the third exhibition room, the stairs appeared.
Nowadays, tremendous and user-friendly improvements are shown on the right map. For example, before the entrance, the ramp has been removed, which creates comfortable access to the art gallery for people with disabilities. After entering the hall, it is shown that, on the left side, the fourth exhibition room was divided into two rooms and transformed into a children’s area; in the other half, exhibitions take place temporarily. Next, in the left corner at the top, the café was removed and changed to a gallery shop. Between the gallery shop and the temporary exhibition room, in the open area, a vending machine has been installed. The stairs remain the same, but they were reduced, so a lift has been added. Also, the receptionist’s table was replaced nearer to the entrance. However, on the right side of the map, nothing has been altered.
