The maps illustrate the alterations at the seaside resort Templeton during 1990 and 2005.
Over the past 15 years, the resort has witnessed dramatic changes, especially in the increase of residential areas.
Regarding the west part of the map, the houses, located near the lake, have been replaced by high-rise apartment blocks. Besides, the trees between two roads have been knocked down and transformed into a residential area. Another notable change was under the second road, where there was the replacement of houses by a supermarket and apartments. Moreover, an extra road has been erected between the new buildings and the railway for the ferry in 2005.
In terms of the resort’s east part, the school and hospital have not been changed over time. In contrast, the trees at the top of the map have been demolished and replaced by a plant station and two houses.
In addition, the house and plant, which were to the right of the main road, have been removed. Next, an interesting development was at the right corner of the region, where green and residential areas have been transformed into a factory.
