The picture above shows the changes of the distribution of Shelby Village throughout 4 decades, from 1970 to 2010.
Overall, the number of concrete roads and buildings have increase significantly. On the other hand, the area of nature (fields, forest and path) had gone.
According to the timeline, in 1970s, there is no buildings and office but with little of resorts; there was also no concrete roads at this time. As the time pass, in 1990s, fields at the bottom of the map some parts of the fields had changed into appartments and resorts; most of the path had changed into concrete roads. Eventually, in 2010s, over three-forth of the lands are covered by buidlings, resorts and offices; also all the paths had changed into concrete roads.
The area covered by natures like fields, forests and paths had overwhelm decreased. In 1970s, over half of the lands were covered by forest and almost half of the the community was covered by forests and trees. However, in 1990s, less than half of the lands were covered by trees. Area covered by fields also decreased from half to quater. Also, paths were removed from 8 to 4. In 2010, there are no fields and less trees in the community. Also all paths were changed into concreter roads.
