In 2010, the nature museum had a relatively typical layout. Upon entry, there was a ticket desk, along with a lobby that led to an ocean hall. To the left, there were halls for dinosaurs and mammals. Furthermore, a garden was located on the right side of the nature museum.
By 2013, the nature museum had undergone significant changes. Although the ticket desk and the dinosaurs hall remained untouched in their original positions, the ocean hall saw a significant expansion. Where the mammals hall had stood, there was now an Ice Age hall, with the insects hall located at the bottom left. Another large area was added to the right wing, which came at the expense of the garden. This area included a shop and café at the bottom, while the human origins display was situated at the rear of the café. The last notable change was the relocation of the mammals display to the right side of the layout.
