The given maps illustrate the layout of Village of Westfield in 1990 and the changes that have been applied until now.
Overall, new Village of Westfield is made up of more facilities than the old one, such as playground, school, supermarket. In addition, some part of the village has also been transformed.
In 1990, the northern part of the village consisted of a farmland and forest, with a river flowing alongside under a bridge. In the central part, there were a few village shops, cottages with simple facility like a church. On the other side of the main road, there was a small school to the southern part.
Looking at the present, the village has undergone substantial changes. In the northern part, farmland was replaced with housing estate, while the forest and the bridge remained untouched. The small forest patch in the northeastern was transformed into a car park. In the main area, an additional car park was added, along with new facilities like the supermarket, the cafe, the sports centre while the church was demolished. The small school was upgraded to a bigger primary school with a playground for recreational purposes.
