The maps illustrate the developement of village of Westfield in 1990 and its apperance now.
Overall, the countryside of Westfield underwent significant redevelopement, with several new facilties, including farmland, supermarket, cafe, two car park, two sport centers and playground areas. However, the forest and bridge were remained unchanged.
To begin with, in 1990, the forest was located on the north-west corner of this village, while the farmland was situated on the north-east side. Moreover, the village shops were placed in the western side of the rural area. Moreover, the cottages, the church and small school were located alongside of the main road. The brige was connected the village shops and farmaland.
At present, the farmland has been replaced by housing estate in the north-west corner of the site. The village shops were demolished and new supermarket and cafe have been constructed on the western side of village. Similarly, the cottages and church were dismalted and two new sports centre have been installed in the middle of the site. Furthermore, two car park facilities have been built both side of the river. The forest area has been remained same location. A main road has been expanded on the south-east side of the site. On the southern side, new playground area were developed. The small school has been transformed into primary school.
