Regarding the current road system, Huntingdon have an interchange between the A14 and A1, forming a roundabout on the north-west corner of the town’s outskirts. National Highway A14 pass through the town from Northwest to Southeast, while National Highway A1 run from North to South. The north side of the A1 connect to a small road leading to the Airport, which is being planned for demolition to make way for a new industrial park. Additionally, the southern section connects to Brampton Road, forming a T-junction. The southern part of the A1 is the access route to the town centre, which is located on the eastern part and is surrounded by the Ring Road. A new roundabout will be built, connect the A14 with Brampton Road and the Ring Road, with targeted accessibility improvements. Furthermore, a new road will be built at the end of A1 enhance access to the central area.
Around the town center is a built-up area with houses and shops serve the local population. It also has a railway running from north to south, with a station located west of the center. In the future, the expansion of the railway line will connect the existing system with newly develop industrial zones, enhancing traffic connections in the town.
