Overall, there are 3 stages for the process, and it is classified into eleven steps in total. The process begins with the collection of wasted bottle and ends with selling products that contains bottles.
In the first stage, wasted glass bottles are transferred into a collection point before being transported. The bottles are then transported by a truck for the next stage.
The second stage starts when transported bottles move in a state called “high-pressure water”, and it is subsequently divided into 3 different types: brown-colored, green-colored, and clear bottles. Moved into a glass factory, all of them are converted into glass pieces, which are then burned in a furnace at 600 to 800 Celcius degree to make recycled liquid glass. The recycled liquid glass, along with the new ones are then used for the final step of the 2nd stage, being “shaped in glass mould”.
Finally, the shaped bottles are used to store drinks. The drinks are thereby sold in a supermarket as ready-for-sale products.
