The image compares two aerial diagrams of a place called "Shipsmouth," one from 1995 and the other from 2010. In the 1995 diagram, there’s a factory with smoke coming from a chimney, a road with a single car, a church, and a train station with two train cars on the track. There are trees visible, and the water body shows two fish. In the 2010 diagram, the factory is replaced by apartment blocks, the road has been converted to a walking path for pedestrians only, and the church is replaced by a pub. The station now has four train cars on the track, a shopping center, a football stadium, and skyscrapers are added to the cityscape, and an airport with a plane is seen where trees used to be. The water body no longer has visible fish.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The two maps show the main changes which have taken place in Shipsmouth between the years 1995 and 2010.
In general, it appears that Shipsmouth experienced a significant modernization, and the city has become much more dynamic with far more accommodation and shopping facilities.
One interesting change is that an airport has been built, to make it easier to reach different destinations. In 1995, there wasn’t any convenient housing, but then apartment blocks and skyscrapers have been constructed. Another striking change is that the church in the north of the city has been knocked down to make way for a pub. A completely new football stadium has been erected on the other side of town.
If we look at the west of Shipsmouth, the old factory near the river was demolished to make way for a novel shopping centre. A final fantastic development has been the pedestrianization in the city centre, and moreover, the second station has been built, to connect two sides of town.
