The pie chart shows the proportion of the locations that are used for dance classes and the bar chart illustrates the number of students of two distinct age groups taking part in three different types of dance (ballet, tap and modern) in an Australian town.
Overall, the most widely used location for dance classes is the private studios followed by school halls. Whereas the ballet type of dance is more popular among the children’s as compared to other forms.
The private studios dominate the location criteria for the dance tutorial of 48% which is followed by school halls that are used after school at 24%. Community halls that are used for classes is somewhere 18% and the least popular choice for dance tutorial is college-based studios.
On the other hand, ballet is the most popular choice among the children under the age of 11 of almost 600 participants followed by tap which ranges around 500 students and lastly the modern form only about 300 participants. While modern form of dance is the top most proffered choice for the age group which lies between 11 to 16 which is about 500 participants followed by tap just more than 400 and ballet below 400.
