The report reveals the information about dance classes attended by young people and their location in an Australian town.
Overall, highest proportion of dance classes were located in private studios. However, children under age 11 attended the most dance classes of all types.
The majority of dance classes were located in private studios with the percentage of 48 whereas the figure for college-based studios was only 10%. Nextly, the percentage for community halls and other places were recorded at 18%. Furthermore, school halls (after- school) stood at second highest location for dance classes as figure was observed at 24%.
Moving further, children under age 11 showed highest number of students in ballet dance classes with 600 students while for 11 to 16 age group 300 students attended it. Moreover, a minor difference was observed in case of tap dance class as former age group showed 420 students and latter 400 students respectively. Additionally, modern form of dance class witnessed approx 520 students attendance in age 11 to 16 however for age under 11 this figure was 300.
