The pie charts illustrate the percentage of ad spending by several types of media (TV, Print, Digital, Outdoor, Radio, Cinema) in India over a five year period from 2012 to 2017.
Overall, TV and Print remained the dominant advertising media in both years.Meanwhile, Digital experienced a sharp increase in its proportion,whereas traditional channels such as Print and TV experienced a slight decline.
In terms of TV,in 2012 the percentage of advertising stood at 43,9%,which is the highest overall percentage.However,there was a slight drop in the percentage of advertising by TV(40%).Print experienced the identical trajectory over a 5 year period,which amounted to 38%.The percentage of advertising by Print fell dramatically and stood at 30% in 2017.
Regarding Digital, in 2012 the percentage of advertising amounted to 6%.2017 experienced a significant growth in advertising by Digital proportion,which stood at 15%.Outdoor remained stable over a 5 year period,whereas Radio experienced a slight drop in its proportion(about 7% and 4%, respectively).In addition, advertising in Cinema stood at 0,1% in 2012, but 2017 witnessed steady growth,which stood 1%
