Overall, it is clear that sole parents made up the largest proportion of poor families, while aged couple accounted for the lowest share. Moreover, it is also worth mentioning that the difference between the biggest and the smallest figures was significant.
Looking at the details, the percentage of sole parents who are living in poverty was by far higher compared to other categories of families with more than a quarter, followed by single without children families at less than a quarter (24%). Besides that, 15 percent of couples with children were also recorded as poor families and this is very close to the share of poverty of all types of households at 14%.
In contrast, 9 percent of couples without children were recorded and aged couple has been less than single aged persons (5% and 7%).
