The pie chart illustrates the proportion of industry sectors’ contribution to the economy across eight different groups in Turkey in 2020.
In general, it is noticeable that different trends were observed. While ‘healthcare & education’ and ‘trade, utilities & transportation’ recorded the highest percentages of industry sectors among all the given categories, the opposite was true for ‘finance, business & other’ and ‘government’.
In 2020, the highest percentages of industry sectors, ‘healthcare & education’ and ‘trade, utilities & transportation’ contribution to the economy of Turkey, stood at 17% and 16%. By contrast, the lowest figures of industry sectors, ‘finance, business & other’ and ‘government’ among the eight groups, accounted for 8% and 9%.
In Turkey, ‘leisure and hospitality’ and ‘agriculture’ showed the same figure for industry sectors, standing at 14% in 2020. ‘Manufacturing’ recorded 12% of the industry sector in Turkey, while construction reached figure 2% lower for the industry sector in 2020.
