All things considered, the high cost of living is by far the most important disadvantage of Bowen Island, accounting for exactly half of all visitor complaints. Conversely, the local people and the scenery are perceived as the primary advantages of the island, together making up the vast majority of the positive feedback.
Turning to the details, the most common advantages contain four main options. The percentage of people accounts for a vast proportion of 42%. This share is 7% higher than that of the “scenery” category, which stands at 35%. Good accommodation and the cultural category account for a similar percentage; the difference is only 1%.
As regards the rest of the data, the high cost of living shows a strikingly different trend and occupies a crucial position, significantly outstripping entertainment, making up 50% and 25% respectively. In terms of the figure, weather and food quality occupy the bottom position and have flat percentages, 15% and 10%.
