The pie charts demonstrate the water usage in San Diego, California and worldwide, divided into three main categories; residential, industry and agriculture.
Initially, when the water consumption is compared between sectors, agriculture appears dominantly by using 69% of worlds total water usage. On the other hand, industry with 23% comes in second place. The rest, which is 8%, is used by residential sector.
Comparatively, in San Diego County, a different case occurs. Out of all the water that is used, 60% comes from residential, 23% from industry and the lowest rate appears from agriculture. Similarly, California has the highest rate from residential consumers with 39%, while industry is relatively closer with 33%. Agriculture, on the other hand, uses 28% of the total water consumption.
Overall, in world most of the water consumption belongs to agriculture. In contrast, two spesific counties, which are California and San Diego, has a hierarchy as residential consumer comes firstly, industry follows and agriculture is the last.
