By contrast, the water consumption for agriculture in the world took 69%, making it the highest of the total proportion, compared to San Diego and California, at only 17% and 28%, respectively.
Looking at the figures for industrial water in San Diego and the world, there was a similarity in the percentage of water usage (23%). However, the proportion of industrial water used in California was 10% higher, with 33% of the total water usage.
