The pie chart provided illustrates the differences in water consumption between San Diego, California and other parts of the world.

Overall, it can be seen that San Diego County and California use larger amounts of water in the Residential sector. Meanwhile, Worldwide, the Household area uses the least amount of water.

Looking at the data in more detail, 60% of water is used by San Diego County which is more than other areas. Industry and Agriculture sectors each account for much smaller numbers with percentages 23% and 17% respectively. However, water usage in California is fairly evenly distributed by around 35% to each major sector.

On the other hand, worldwide, 69% of water is used by farmers, while water used by the Industrial sector is almost a quarter of the total. housing stands at the lowest, accounting for only 8% of water usage.
