The pie charts compare the percentage of journal articles read by all students, PhD students and junior lecturers in a week in Australian university.
Overall, the highest percentage of PhD student read journal articles more than 12 times in a week. By contrast, the, proportion of junior lecturers read 1 to 5 times was lowest at the same time.
In terms of reading articles, the highest proportion of all student read articles less than 6 times, at 67%. In addition, 12% of all student read articles more than 12 times which was the lowest figure. PhD students read articles more than 12 times was the highest figure and reading articles 1 to 5 times was lowest, at 80% and 5%, respectively.
For the remaining readers, most of the junior lecturers read articles between 6 and 11 times, at 75%. On the other hand, very rare student read articles up to 5 times in a week and the figure was 1%.
