The pie chart above showcases the types and amount of exports between the United States of America and Vietnam. The main features observed is that Vietnam’s primary exports to the US are agriculturally related while the US’ exports to Vietnam are more industrially and machinery focused.
Vietnam’s exports to the US are predominantly related to the primary industries, exporting around 23 million dollars worth of coffee to the US per year, with fruits and vegetables being the second most amount of exports, adding up to approximately 16 millions dollars’ worth per year. The rest of the exports are a combination of primary industries such as seafood, rice and garments, totalling around 12.7 million dollars worth of exports.
Meanwhile, the majority of US’ exports to Vietnam are secondary industries’ products, with the export of aircraft parts,cars and machineries mounting up to over 100 million dollars worth of exports. Material goods such as fertilisers and cotton also attribute to over 28 million dollars in export.
