The given pie charts illustrate the population distribution and land area of the world’s seven continents.
Overall, it is noticeable that the Asia continent has the highest share of population and land area among all continents, by contrast, Oceania and Antarctica continents hold the lowest percentage of total land areas and population.
From the both chart it can be seen, the Asia has the large majority of total land areas and population at 30% and 61%, respectively. However, Africa, North America, South America and Europe make up more than 50% of land area figure, less than 40% of the world’s population live in these 3 continents (13% , 8% and 5.5% of all resident population, respectively).
Lastly, the Oceania and Antarctica make up small segments of the land area and global population in both charts. Only 6% of total land area and 0.5% of resident population are in the Oceania . And , the share of Antarctica is 9% of population and 0% of land areas.
