The pie diagram presents a percentages of different devices used by a European teenagers, from 18 to 25 years old ,to watch television in two different years. Overall, the conventional TV went down amongst laptops and desktop computers, being substitued by mobile phones, flat-screen TVs and partially tablets.
By far the most frequently used electronic device in 2007 was conventional TV with 34% rate. Laptops took the second place with the result of one-fifth, being just 2 percents higher than desktop computer. The other technologies were not so popular with mobile phone at 15 percents, flat-screen TV at 8% and tablets used by only 5% of the European youth.
Through the 10 years time period the leaderboard significantly changed. In 2017 the peak result was reached by flat-screen TVs, going up to 27%. The mobile phones’ percentage increased considerably, keeping up with the new leader and having a difference of only 1%. The third place was deserved by tablets with a significant rise to 19%, while laptops and desktop computers converged to the 12 percent output, enduring moderate fall. Conventional TV, however, didin’t last long and dropped by approximately a third, taking the lowest point in the 2017.
