The pie charts depict the sales proportion of different types of books in a 40 year period from 1942.Overall, there was a noticeable shift in proportion of books sold in 20 last year,especially adult fiction which became by far the most popular type of the genres. While the statistics during 20 start years witnessed a general similarity.
As can be seen in the graph between 1972 and 1992, the percentage of adult fiction and others showed a reverse pattern.
