Overall, the share of other private transport was the most significant type of travel by far every year. Other private and public transports saw almost identical increases over the given period, while walking or cycling saw a reverse pattern.
In the beginning, two rising trends are other private and public transports started at 62% and 9% respectively in 1995. The figure of other private transports increased constantly by 3% from 1995 to 2005, remaining stable till the end of the period and finishing at 65%. The figure for public transport increased by 1% in first half of entire period, showing the same change for second half.
In contrast, walking and cycling lost popularity over the particular period. This trend started at 28%, being more than triple of the figure for public transport. Despite a decline of 4%, this figure finished at 24% which is more than double of the percentage of public transport.
